Participation in the Yarraville Festival is subject to your acceptance of the following terms and conditions.
Products: It is important that you specify the nature of your stall and the types of product to be sold. Toy weaponry (guns etc), “crazy string” and stink bombs are prohibited. Stallholders contravening this requirement or failing to accurately describe their products may have their trading terminated and forfeit their payment.
Food Handling: If you are selling food and you must have a Temporary Food Premises issued by Maribyrnong City Council. The permit application must be submitted with your application for a stall. Payment of a temporary food permit fee will be required. A completed form and payment is not included we cannot accept your application. For guidelines visit the Maribyrnong City Council website for the most updated information. Premises must comply with current Food Act legislation, including the requirement to have a Food Safety Program. Note: All hot food outlets MUST have a Fire Blanket and a 2kg Fire Extinguisher suitable for all materials. In addition all cooking utensils must be of ﬁre retardant material.
Powered sites: If power is required it is your responsibility to ensure that your leads and equipment are safe and comply with relevant regulations. Leads must be in 1st class condition and rated at a minimum of 10 amps. The load on each lead shall not exceed 10 amps. Equipment not meeting safety requirements will be disconnected at the sole discretion of our representative. The organisers do not accept responsibility for the consequences of any power failures or disconnection.
Environment and waste: The Yarraville Festival Committee do their best to ensure that the festival precinct is left free of waste at the conclusion of the event. Please try to reduce waste and use recycled and/or recyclable packaging and materials and remove all waste at the end of the day. Stallholders contravening this requirement will not be accepted at future Festivals and could be ﬁned by Maribyrnong City Council staff.
Set up time: Stall holders must be on site by 7.30am. Festival staff will be on location from 6.30am. If you do not arrive by 7.30am, you will lose your allocated site.
Vehicle movement: Vehicle movement is prohibited in the Festival area from 9.00am until 5.00pm. Vehicles will not be allowed to park or remain on the Festival site. All traffic is to be offsite by 8am.
Approvals: No one will be allowed to trade at the Yarraville Festival without all necessary approvals.
Alcohol: The sale or provision of alcoholic beverages, except within areas that hold a Liquor Licence, is strictly prohibited.
Public Liability: All commercial participants and incorporated bodies must provide a certiﬁcate of currency for public and products liability to the amount of $10 million dollars. Your Certificate of Currency is required when applying and you application will not be considered without it.
Stall site locations: The Yarraville Festival Committee Inc will allocate stall sites taking into consideration a number of factors including but not restricted to size and items for sale. It is not possible to always be allocated the same spot as previous years.
Privacy Act: All details submitted in this form will be used by Yarraville Festival Committee Inc only.
Note: The Yarraville Festival Committee Inc. and its representatives will not be held responsible for any loss or damage to person or property howsoever caused including the negligence of the Yarraville Festival Inc. or its Committee members, volunteers, representatives or agents and including loss or damage arising out of weather conditions or the cancellation of the event.
