About the Yarraville Festival Committee

The Yarraville Festival Committee is a dedicated group of local volunteers who plan, manage, and deliver the Yarraville Festival each year. With a shared commitment to community, culture, and creativity, the Committee works year-round to ensure the Festival remains a vibrant and inclusive celebration of Yarraville’s unique character.

Our Committee members bring together a diverse range of skills, backgrounds and professional expertise—including event management, marketing, community engagement, risk and safety, and the creative arts. Every member plays a key role in ensuring the success of the Festival and upholding its values of inclusivity, accessibility, and sustainability.

What We Do

• Coordinate the planning, permits, and logistics of the Festival

• Curate and support local entertainment, food, art and market stallholders

• Promote local business participation and sponsorship opportunities

• Ensure safety, accessibility, and community representation across all aspects of the event

• Engage with local residents, groups, and stakeholders

The Committee operates as a not-for-profit, with all funds raised going directly toward the running of the Festival and supporting local initiatives. We are proud to be stewards of one of Melbourne’s longest-running community festivals.
